NORFOLK - With the school year coming to an end...an annual tradition is returning to make sure kids are keeping their brains in shape this summer.

The Norfolk Public Library begins its annual summer reading program next week.

With a goal of encouraging participants to read 20-30 minutes a day, participants who complete the entire program will have read 25 hours over the course of the summer.

Librarians say those who reach this goal can turn their reading logs in for prizes.

The Library says the Summer Reading Program also includes various all-ages educational programs throughout the summer.

Organizers say they're excited this year because participants are able to participate in person after the pandemic forced the reading program to go virtual in 2020.
