Acton to Bowl and Play Baseball at Peru State
Peru State bowling coordinator Brenda Lutz and head baseball coach Wayne Albury announced recently that Stephen Acton (Falls City) signed his national letter of intent to bowl and to play baseball for the Bobcats.

(Peru, Neb.) – Peru State bowling coordinator Brenda Lutz and head baseball coach Wayne Albury announced recently that Stephen Acton (Falls City) signed his national letter of intent to bowl and to play baseball for the Bobcats.
Acton attends Falls City High School.
The son of Tom and Lacey Acton will play catcher for the Bobcats. The 6-2, 190 pound Acton played in 14 total games and had a batting average of .235 and an OBP of .447 in his career. He had one double, one home run, and drove in seven. Acton finished this season with a perfect fielding percentage as he had 62 chances, 50 putouts, and 12 assists.

His personal best game of bowling has been a 258.
Acton plans to major in accounting at Peru State. He will be receiving the president's award scholarship.
Lutz commented, "Stephen is a two-handed bowler who has participated in local leagues and fundraisers. His competitive drive comes from always trying to beat his dad Tom. I am excited to see him grow as a bowler working with our two bowling consultants. It is always great to get local talent."
