CRETE - Crete snapped a 12-game skid on Senior Night.

Tied 2-2 in the bottom of the 6th inning, a triple by Lucas Lenhoff sparked a two-out rally where Crete plated three runs that led the Cardinals to a 5-3 win.

Lenhoff led Crete at the plate going 2-for-2 win an RBI, Max Connell went 2-for-3 with an RBI, and Braden Schmeckpeper had a two-run triple in the 6th that scored the insurance runs the Cardinals needed.

Jaxon Ditmer pitched a complete game for Crete, striking out eight.

Jayden Schmidt led Fairbury in the hitting department, going 2-for-3.
