BLAIR, Neb. — The nation’s first second gentleman visited the 37th state in the union on Tuesday.

More specifically, Doug Emhoff, husband of Vice President Kamala Harris, was in Blair as part of the “Help is Here” tour, promoting the national coronavirus response.

Emhoff visited frontline healthcare workers at Memorial Community Hospital, followed by a stop at First Lutheran Church, which has provided meals to the community and served as a vaccination site since February 12.

Emhoff thanked hospital workers and volunteers, while also touting the recently passed stimulus bill.

“This plan helps everybody,” Emhoff told news partner WOWT. “But also with Covid, we’re all in this together.”
