Small businesses celebrate 'Meat on the Menu Day'

NORFOLK, Neb. - After the announcement of meat-out day in Colorado, Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts declared Saturday "Meat on the Menu Day".
Lot 279 in Norfolk is a bar and butcher shop selling and serving Albers' home-raised beef products.
The shop's owner says there are a lot of people pushing to endanger animal agriculture.
"So it's always good to try and push back a little bit and try and be a part of showing really what a good family farm looks like," said Blake Albers.
Albers knows a lot about family businesses and just how an announcement like this can help small businesses.
"Anything that anybody can do to help small businesses to help people that are doing farm to fork operations are great," said Albers.
