Kimball to interview City Administrator candidate next week

KIMBALL, NE — The City of Kimball continues its search for its next City Administrator next week. 

City officials sent out a notice Thursday they will conduct an interview on Wednesday, March 24, at the Kimball County Transit Building at 5:00 p.m. The meeting will be open to the public.

According to Kimball City Treasurer Annette Brower, the interviewee is John Walz from Hastings, Nebraska. 

Kimball city officials last interviewed candidates for the position in November 2020 when they interviewed Jonathan Cannon of Saluda, North Carolina. and Alan Lanning of Cordova, Alaska.

Mayor Keith Prunty has not formally recommended anyone to the council for the position since his initial selection, Brower, was rejected by the city council after concerns were raised about the selection process.
