Stocking up on feed: hotline connects buyers and sellers

Nebraska Department of Agriculture is connecting hay sellers and buyers for free.

During the cold, cows need extra feed -- and while it may seem winter is over, we're not out of the chills yet.

That's why the Assistant Director at the Nebraska Department of Agriculture Amelia Breinig recommends farmers check out the service now and stock up on feed.

The hay and forage hotline was created decades ago to connect producers and those in need.
