Sasse facing more, bigger censures in NE

It’s another week of possible censures for Senator Ben Sasse, and this time it’s the state’s two largest GOP groups coming after him.

Today the Douglas County GOP is expected to consider a move that would politically slap-down Sasse for his constant criticism of former President Donald Trump.

On Saturday, the GOP’s State Central Committee is expected to do likewise.

Sasse has made it clear that when it comes to his actions regarding Trump, he speaks and votes his conscience.

Several other GOP county groups including Hitchcock and Sarpy have already censured Sasse.

Sasse likes to remind his Republican critics that last November he received more votes in Nebraska than Trump.
