OMAHA, Neb. -- UNMC scientists are using new technology to track down COVID-19 mutations in Nebraska.
According to the hospital, Drs. Peter Iwen and Baha Abdalamid are among a team of experts using new bells and whistles to create the next generation of gene sequencing.
That then allows fingerprinting of the viruses, and the ability to know where the viruses are coming from and where the new mutants are spreading.
