OMAHA, Neb. -- The chairman and CEO of a metro Nebraska company suddenly passed away.

Omaha Steaks announced Bruce Simon passed away at age 63 from natural causes early Wednesday morning..

Todd Simon, Bruce's cousin, will immediately take on the roles of Chairman and CEO.

Today, the company employs more than 1,500 associates, has 3 million active customers and operates 48 retail stores in 20 states.
