Sasse says he's not leaving Nebraska

OMAHA, Neb. -- On the heels of his vote to convict former President Donald Trump and calls across the state to censure him, GOP Senator Ben Sasse is standing firm and announcing he's not moving from Nebraska.
In an interview on KFAB radio in Omaha, Sasse did not say if he plans to run for President in 2024 or re-election to the Senate in 2026.
He did shoot down political gossip that he intends to leave Nebraska.
"I live in Nebraska," Sasse said. "I'm not moving anywhere. I don't live in Washington, D.C. I don't want to live in Washington, D.C. I mean, I wish it weren't negative-22 today, but Nebraska's where we're raising our kids. These are our family. These are our friends. This is our place. There's no departing from Nebraska."
Sasse said he respects many of his 43 fellow Republicans who voted to acquit Trump.
Several GOP county committees have blasted Sasse and want him censured by the State GOP at its next meeting in March.
