FALLS CITY- After both girl's and boy's teams lost in the Pioneer Conference Championship on Saturday, Falls City Sacred Heart not only avenged those losses, but made a statement in a border battle with East Atchison.

The Irish, in both games, outscored the wolves 137-56 en route to both teams regaining their footing as they approach the postseason.

In the first game of the evening, Falls City Sacred Heart's girl's jumped out to a 10-0 run right after tip-off. East Atchison fought back from beyond the arc, but the Irish were too much to handle in the second half, outscoring the wolves 22-7 in the third quarter. 

Falls City Sacred Heart poured it on East Atchison and won 73-34. Falls City Sacred Heart pushes their win total up to 21 with only one regular season game remaining in the season.

Junior Erison Vonderschmidt scored a game high 23 points, and eclipsed the one thousand point total in her career over the weekend in the Pioneer Conference tournament, according to head coach Luke Santo.

Scoring for the wolves was led by senior Morgan Parshall with 9 points.

In the second half of the double header, the boy's started out in the same offensive slump that they had Saturday against Tri County in the Pioneer Conference Championship. The Irish led 10-3 after the first quarter. 

The second quarter Falls City Sacred Heart found its offense and erupted for 19 points, and then followed it up with 18 in the third, then 17 in the fourth. Falls City Sacred Heart completed the sweep on the night with a win, 64-22. East Atchison scored only 7 points in the entirety of the second half.

Falls City Sacred Heart was led in scoring by senior Jack Fiegener with 13 points. East Atchison was led in scoring by sophomore Jarrett Spinnato with 10 points.
