Now is the time for shed hunting

NE -- The Nebraska Game & Parks Outdoors Women held a virtual seminar Saturday on shed hunting. 

Marissa Jensen, a bird hunter by nature, shared her tips. 

"It's like scavenging," she said.

Primarily, Jensen talked about the benefits of bringing a dog with you. 

Secondly, consider going right after a snow, in late February to March, in the afternoon.

Finally, she said you can use antlers as decoration when you've collected enough.
