HAY SPRINGS - While the winning ticket for the $1.05 billion lottery jackpot wasn't sold in Nebraska for Friday's drawing, three people have Mega Millions tickets worth $10,000, including one in the panhandle.

The ticket was sold at Sackers, 105 S. First St., in Hay Springs and matched four of five white numbers, plus the Mega Ball. The other two were sold at a Casey's General Store and Hy-Vee Supermarket, both in Omaha.

The winning numbers for Friday night's drawing were 4, 26, 42, 50 and 60, with a Mega Ball of 24. Someone bought a winning ticket at a Kroger store in the Detroit suburb of Novi, the Michigan Lottery said. This is the 18th Mega Millions jackpot won in Michigan, according to a lottery press release. Michigan is one of the original founding members of Mega Millions.

A spokeswoman for the grocery store chain congratulated the winner for “waking up to life-changing news this morning.” A winner who chooses the lump sum option would get $557 million after taxes.

The win came just two days after a ticket sold in Maryland won the $731.1 million Powerball jackpot.

Nationally, the Match 5 winners were two people in Florida, one in Maryland, one in Missouri, one in New Jersey, one in New York and two in Pennsylvania. Each will take home $1 million. Also, two people -- one in North Carolina and one in Virginia -- won the Match 5 + Megaplier. Each will take home $2 million.
