NE --  The nation abuzz over word that the national guard was forced to stay in a parking garage after having protected the capitol during the inauguration. We turn now to Nebraska national guard who shared what the experience was really like.

For Nebraska's Sergeant Jacob Anderburry, it was an opportunity to re-enlist at the capitol.

He explained that during the day, the guards took turns on  hifts and hung out with each other. After Inauguration Day, they were given a tour of the national mall and city.

Lieutenant Grant Hewitt said he enjoyed staying at a hotel in Virginia and being on the FedEx field.

Major Scott Ingalsbe appreciated the concern, while Hewitt said the garage was a convenient location.

Guards are expected to return in a few days.
