Grass fire near Guide Rock shuts down some travel

The Nebraska State Patrol reported a large grass fire in southern Nebraska near Guide Rock late Thursday.

Troopers were on the scene, along with deputies from Nuckolls and Webster Counties and several local fire departments.

Authorities advised to avoid travel on Highways 78 or 136, eventually loosening the advisory after firefighters battled the blaze.
