Wayne defense holds Norfolk Catholic to season-low total

WAYNE - Prior to Thursday, the Norfolk Catholic boys basketball team had been averaging almost 68 points per game.
But Wayne's defense ground the Knights to a halt, limiting Norfolk Catholic to a season-low point total in a 55-43 win.
The Blue Devils saw strong play off their bench (Dylan Kneifl and Andrew Jones each had seven points) and guard Tanner Walling tallied a season-high 19 points for Wayne.
The Blue Devils have now defeated Norfolk Catholic in eight of their last nine meetings.
Wayne improves to 10-2 ahead of a home matchup with Boone Central on Saturday, while 7-3 Norfolk will try to bounce back on the road Tuesday against Columbus Scotus.
