Latest winter weather arriving Monday and Tuesday

A winter weather advisory is in effect for the entire state, with Otoe and Cass Counties in a winter storm warning.

Early snow has arrived in south central Nebraska and the southern half of the panhandle, with the winter conditions expected to move eastward Monday night and into Tuesday morning. The storm is expected to mostly run its course by Tuesday night.

The northern half of the state is expected to receive slightly more snow than the southern half, with 2-5 inches a possibility in the northeast section of Nebraska. However, southeast and south central locations are expected to be dealing with more hazardous roadways with slushy conditions and freezing rain expected throughout Tuesday.
