Arrests made after teenager shot in North Platte

One person is in the hospital and two others are in jail after a shooting incident over the weekend.

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. – One person is in the hospital and two others are in jail after a shooting incident over the weekend.

The North Platte Police Department says the incident happened on Saturday night on East Phillip Street. Police say the 18-year-old victim was involved in a disturbance with 22-year-old Brayden Divine and 20-year-old Logan Divine.

During the confrontation, a handgun was taken out and the victim was told to leave, according to reports. Police say when the victim was leaving, he was shot in the leg.

Brayden Divine was arrested for first-degree assault and weapons charges. Logan Divine was also arrested for accessory to a felony.

The investigation is still ongoing.
