CHEYENNE, WY — We hope you enjoyed the warmth that started the week, but mother nature is pulling a 180º turn to end the week.

The National Weather Service office in Cheyenne is keeping the eye on potential for snow in the area on Friday and into the weekend. They say a cold front moved through the area Thursday morning, dropping temperatures into the 30s. The winter weather may not be far behind. 

According to the NWS, flurries will be possible Thursday with more persistent light snow moving into the area early Friday morning. Much of the panhandle is not expected to see more than an inch of snow. The possibility of higher amounts of snow is greater in southeast Wyoming. 

Southern and eastern Nebraska are expected to see higher amounts of about 2-4 inches of snow.
