HARTINGTON - Both Humphrey St. Francis squads remain undefeated following big wins over Hartington-Newcastle Tuesday night.

The Lady Flyers (3-0) jumped out to a 17-0 lead in the first period and never looked back, on their way to a 73-23 drubbing of the Wildcats. Nebraska commit Allison Weidner topped all scorers with 43 points, while Hannah Baumgart poured in 11, and Kaylee Stricklin had 9. Alivia Morten and Kayden Jueden led all Hartington-Newcastle players with 9 and 7 points, respectively.

The HSF boys used a hot start to turn out a 71-58 victory in the second half of the doubleheader. A 26-point halftime lead was cut in half down the stretch, but the Flyers were able to run out the clock in the final minutes en route to a 3-0 record. Tanner Pfeifer was the bellwether with 23 points, while Justin Leifeld added in 16 points and Haustyn Forney 11. Isaac Bruning was the top Cat with 20 on the night.

Humphrey St. Francis heads to Riverside Thursday, and Hartington-Newcastle (1-2) is on the road Saturday at Pierce.
