STANTON COUNTY - A Northeast Nebraska man has been sentenced to jail for his role in a 2019 burglary in Stanton County.

The Stanton County Sheriff's Office says 38-year-old Derrick Haywood of Norfolk was sentenced to 3 to 6 years in prison.

Authorities say Haywood was arrested by the Sheriff's Office last year after an investigation into the break-in of the Pilger Pride convenience store in Pilger.

A co-defendant was previously sentenced for her involvement in the same burglary.
