NORFOLK, Neb. – Norfolk Police arrested a Columbus man after multiple reports of reckless driving on Monday. The driver, 21-year-old Jose Alfredo Lance, was discovered to be driving on a revoked license. Police also say that sobriety tests indicated Lance was over the legal blood alcohol limit.

Officers identified Lance's vehicle after receiving multiple calls of erratic driving, including a report of an accident, were made from near 13th Street and Ta-Ha-Zouka and continuing northbound into Norfolk. After the car was stopped, police say, Lance fled on foot and was apprehended after a brief chase.

Lance was arrested for failure to stop at an injury accident, driving during a period of revocation, driving under the influence of alcohol, and obstructing a peace officer.

He was also cited for willful reckless driving and no valid registration.

He was housed in the Norfolk City Jail and later transferred to the Madison County Jail.
