BEATRICE - The Nebraska Judicial Resources Commission will hold a public meeting December 10th, 1 p.m.,  to take up judicial retirements....and determine whether vacancies exist in two county court offices and one district court office.

One of those is the County Court, 1st  Judicial District where Gage County Judge Steven Timm retired effective October 31st.  If a vacancy is determined to exist, the commission could make a recommendation to the Supreme Court on the primary place of office with the vacancy.

The commission also considers the 3rd District Court where Judge John A. Colborn retired, effective October 31st, along with the office of the 5th District County Court where Judge Linda Caster Senff retired at the end of October.

The public meeting will be conducted in Room 1510 of the State Capitol Building in Lincoln.  It will include videoconferencing from sites in Omaha, North Platte, McCook, Hastings, Columbus and Fremont.

The videoconferencing sites will not be used to receive public testimony.  Anyone wishing to present testimony for the Commission’s consideration may do so by written testimony mailed before the meeting, no later than December 3rd, or by oral testimony offered during the hearing by appearing in the public hearing in Room 1510 of the State Capitol, Lincoln.
