Boil Water Advisory steaming Woodland Park Residents
A boil water advisory was issued in Woodland Park on Oct. 29, and officials said on Tuesday that the water supply is still not safe for consumption.

WOODLAND PARK, Neb. — A northeast Nebraska community is running out of patience. A boil water advisory was issued in the community on Oct. 29, and officials said on Tuesday that the water supply is still not safe for consumption.
“Hopefully this all gets resolved real quick,” said Becky Schmitz, owner of The Lil Store in Woodland Park. “Like, yesterday.”
Schmitz has shut down all machines in her store that use water. She says it’s causing her to lose business.
“I am not set up for a boil water system,” Schmitz said. “So, it has been some added stress. It has taken an unexpected expense.”
Stanton County Emergency Management says that the organization will not have results of the latest water supply test until Thursday.
“I would think in a situation like this, those tests could have been run on a Saturday and Sunday.”
Stanton County Emergency Management has been updating the situation via their website and will continue to do so when new information arrives.
