BEATRICE - A company that provides painting and coating services for municipal water tanks says a southeast Nebraska Community was a finalist in its annual contest.

Tnemec Company, Inc., a provider of high-performance coatings, has announced 11 finalists and winner of its 2020 Tank of the Year competition. It is the 15th year of the competition that highlights creative water tank paintings from around the U.S. and Canada.

Among this year's finalists, Jansen, Nebraska in Jefferson County… tank you very much.   Jansen’s witch-hat looking tank has been in the community for more than 100 years, according to the company.  It was coated and repainted this year.

Other top tanks include Hot Springs, Arkansas... Muscatine, Iowa... Cumming, Iowa... Troy, Virginia...Grafton, Ohio...Hutchinson, Kansas... White Bear Lake, Minnesota....Pain Court, Ontario....and Kansas City, Missouri.

Tnemec named its People's Choice winner as Bossier City, Louisiana and the 2020 Tank of the Year winner....Destin, Florida.
