SIDNEY - The National Weather Service is keeping an eye on dry and windy conditions this weekend in the Panhandle.

All Panhandle counties are included in a Red Flag Warning that takes effect at noon on Saturday. It will expire at 8:00 p.m.

A Red Flag Warning means there is a critical fire condition due to wind gusts and low relative humidity. The forecast for Saturday calls for wind gusts up to 35 miles per hour and humidity levels around 10 to 15 percent.

Burning of any kind is strongly discouraged. The Sidney Fire Department announced Thursday night burn permits will not issued until further notice because of the ongoing conditions.
