Gage County Four-H Program Assistant Honored, After 44 Years of Service

BEATRICE – Having served countless Gage County Four-H participants and working with their families for 44 years, Jane Esau was honored by the Gage County Board Wednesday, on her retirement from the job,
Esau estimates that over the years, she's worked with about 22,000 youth....several participating in Four-H over a ten-year period.
"National Four-H Congress is kind of the pinnacle of Four-H and in these years...which have been numerous...91 Gage County Four-H kids have gotten their trip to National Four-H Congress, which is phenomenal. And that doesn't say as much about me, as it does about the exceptional families who work hard with their kids."
Jane has worked 44 Gage County Fairs with the youth, their parents and fair board members, along with friends and others. Gage County Board member Dennis Byars paid tribute to Esau and presented her with a plaque from the county board honoring her dedication for more than four decades.
"The Four-H clubs have been absolutely fantastic, and it's because of this wonderful leadership we've had in you, Jane."
Esau credited the youth and their parents for the work they do and the volunteer support many persons contribute to Four-H.
