Jack Haupt Keeps Walking In AppleJack Fun Run

NEBRASKA CITY-The AppleJack Harvest Festival continues to take place over the next few weeks in Nebraska City.  

Even with the changes to the festival this year, many key events have been taking place.  One such event is the AppleJack Fun Run.  

Jack Haupt has been participating in the fun run as long as anyone can remember.  Nebraska City Tourism and Commerce's Tammy Partsch states "we've been doing the fun run for sixteen years and can't remember a run without him in it!  We call it our Fun Run, but a lot of entrants are walkers, like Jack."

Jack says he's done a lot of things in his 86 years, and is usually tired after the event.  It has also become a family affair for Jack, and his walking group grows every year. When asked if he had any advice for someone wanting to participate in the 5k, Jack says "keep walking".
