Malik Bowman Signs With Peru State Football

Peru State Football recently announced the signing of Malik Bowman from Johnson City, Tenn.

(Peru, Neb.) – Peru State head football coach Casey Creehan recently announced the signing of Malik Bowman from Johnson City, Tenn. He is a recent graduate of Science Hill High School.
 
Bowman is the son of Jimmy Bowman and Erica Forney. He is majoring in physical education at Peru State.
 
The 5-10, 170-pound Bowman is projected to be a defensive back for the 'Cats.
 
Bowman's high school team compiled a 4-7 record his senior year and earned a trip to the Tennessee High School state playoffs. The Hilltoppers lost in the first round to Bearden.
 
After having their first game postponed, Peru State is scheduled to open on Saturday, Sept. 19, in the historic Oak Bowl against MidAmerica Nazarene. Game time with the Pioneers is set for 6 p.m.
