MADISON COUNTY - Authorities are cleaning up a corn spill after a semi-trailer accident in Madison County.

The Madison County Sheriff's Department was called to the intersection of 833 Road and 550 Avenue around noon on Thursday.

Authorities say a semi-truck hauling corn was eastbound on 833 Road, approaching the 550 Avenue intersection.

A county road maintainer was crossing the 833 roadway and was hit by the eastbound semi-truck.

The semi-truck went into the south ditch and came to a stop on its side.

No injuries were reported.

As of Thursday around 2 p.m., crews were working on removing the corn and the semi from the ditch.

Authorities ask that drivers be prepared to stop or find an alternate route.

The accident is under investigation.
