NEBRASKA - Fewer Nebraskans are hospitalized but a higher rate of residents tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday.

The Department of Health and Human Services reported 334 new cases of the coronavirus in Tuesday. It was the fourth day over 300 cases this month.

Nebraska has averaged 265 cases per day over the past week, down 5% from the week prior.

About 2,700 tests were processed, meaning about 12.4% came back positive.

157 Nebraskans were hospitalized with COVID-19, 5 fewer than the day prior.

Over 29,000 people in Nebraska have been diagnosed with COVID-19. 357 people have died.
