I developed an interest in meteorology in middle school. At a young age I had a fear of thunder, but in my teens I was outside chasing storm clouds. I am fascinated by weather because it is a part of nature that drives our daily behavior.
I am thrilled to join NCN and I hope to help the community plan their day.
I received my bachelor of science degree in meteorology from Central Michigan University (Fire Up Chips) in Mt. Pleasant, MI in 2009.
I have a background in forecasting the unique properties of the Great Lakes, including lake effect snow squalls, lake breeze, and derechos. I've enjoyed the challenges of forecasting Nebraska weather with so many diverse forecast zones.
When I'm not forecasting, I enjoy traveling to state and national parks, spending time with my wife, Allison, hiking or working my garden.
