OMAHA - Nine innings weren't enough as the Black Sox and Rail Riders were unable to break a 3-3 stalemate and finished with a tie game Saturday afternoon.  It was the first tie of the season in the Corn Belt League.

The Black Sox tallied all of their runs in the first inning. John Daly opened things up with a towering two-run home run to left field.  Brennen Bales followed with a double.  Christian Harris delivered the next run on a two-out single.

The Rail Riders got a run back in the bottom of the first.  They loaded the bases on an error, walk and single to bring up Kyle Weber with one out.  The Midland University player hit a sacrifice fly to make it 3-1.

The Rail Riders found their offense again in the third. Conner Barnett ripped a two-out triple to drive in two runs and tie the game 3-3.

The pitchers dominated from there. Rail Riders' hurler Dylan Nicholson only allowed four baserunners between the second and seventh innings. Bobby Morgensen pitched two scoreless inning to round out the game.

Matthew Keating turned in a good outing for the Black Sox. He allowed just four hits over five innings. Ryan Jungers was lights out in four innings of relief. He retired the final five batters he faced.
