SIDNEY, NE - As several students get ready to head back to school, many districts are finalizing their plans.

Sidney Public Schools will announce their back-to-school strategy next week.

School administrators say they're waiting until the end of July because they want to make sure they have the latest guidance and information before putting the plan into action.

Sidney High School Principal Chris Arent says there are many factors to take into account such as how active the virus is and how Sidney is close to the border of two other states.

Sidney is set to start school on August 17th. Sidney Public Schools Superintendent Jay Ehler will be on KSID's Swap Shop on Tuesday, July 28th to discuss the district's plan.
