NORFOLK - The Norfolk Public Schools year is scheduled to start in a month, but exactly what class will look like is still being decided.

School Superintendent Doctor Jami Jo Thompson told the NPS School Board Monday that the district will be using the Elkhorn Logan Valley Public Health Department's four-tiered risk system as part of its back-to-school plan.

Thompson says the plan will feature a number of scenarios: in-person learning, a hybrid model and complete remote learning if needed.

The school board is meeting again on July 23rd. That's when they'll go into more thorough details on the plan.

As of now, the first day of school is scheduled for August 13th.
