LPD: Man fights & bites officers during arrest after fleeing traffic stop
LINCOLN - The Lincoln Police Department arrested a man who fought officers while they tried detaining him after they say he fled a traffic stop.
Around midnight on Wednesday officers tried stopping car near North 66th and Orchard Streets in Lincoln because the car was wanted for fleeing a previous traffic stop.
LPD says when officers tried stopping the car, the driver, 22-year-old Junior Salguero, continued driving, but later stopped and ran into an apartment building.
Officers surrounded the building and he eventually agreed to come out.
LPD says when Salguero then tried to run.
Authorities say he then started fighting the officers and bit one on the shoulder.
He is facing operating a motor vehicle to avoid arrest charges, obstruction and assault on police officer charges.
