Head Coach KayeLynn Tyson is very proud of her team and how they performed at the tournament.

"The team went 4-3 over the weekend in Columbus and placed 3rd in Class C USSSA State Tournament. Saturday, we started off playing with two pool play games. Our first game was against Vortex and won 9-5. Our second game we played Fremont Force and lost 10-12. Our first bracket play game Saturday evening was against Waverly Heat and we won 11-1, following up with another win Saturday night against Blair Blaze 4-1. Sunday, we came in with an important win to guarantee us third place against Nebraska Force 5-1. Nebraska Force at this time was 9-0 for the season, after coming out of Falls City for a championship the weekend prior. Our next game was against Fremont Force and we lost 0-11. Then lost again to Blair Blaze in extra innings 6-7. Coming home with a Third Place Plaque was a huge accomplishment for our team. Special thanks to all our parents, coaching staff, fans, and our Nebraska City Fastpitch Program for pushing our girls to get better. We exceeded so many goals this weekend, and I couldn’t be more proud!"
