City of Sidney to have fireworks show Friday

SIDNEY, NE - The City of Sidney has plans to kick off the Fourth of July weekend with a bang.

The city will host a fireworks display on the evening of Friday, July 3. The Sidney fire department will set off the fireworks at the soccer fields near Western Nebraska Community College. According to the city, the show will start at dusk.

KSID will play music to go along with the fireworks show that night on 95.7 and 98.7 FM and 1340 AM. 

For residents of Sidney, fireworks can be set off until 10 p.m. nightly, with the exception of July 4, where they can be set off until 12:00 midnight.  Lighting of fireworks in Legion Park is prohibited.
