Handful of New COVID-19 Cases in Two SE Nebraska Counties

BEATRICE – A southeast Nebraska health district has reported five new cases of COVID-19 in two counties.
Public Health Solutions Health District reports four of the new cases originate in Saline County, while one case is in Gage County. No new cases for the period of June 18th through the 24th were reported in Jefferson, Thayer and Fillmore Counties…also included in the district.
The five new cases are from a pool of 427 lab results. Only one case was inconclusive.
P-H-S reports there have now been 532 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Saline County, 47 in Gage County, 14 in Fillmore County, 9 in Jefferson County and 1 in Thayer County.
The figures include persons who have previously tested positive but have now recovered or remained asymptomatic.
Meanwhile, the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services says restrictions will be easing Monday, July 6th, for businesses and activities in Dakota, Hall, Hamilton and Merrick Counties. That will mean all 93 counties in Nebraska, are in Phase Three of reopening.
