Sertoma-Astro Park in Beatrice Gets Restroom Facility

BEATRICE – A northeast Beatrice park has its unisex bathroom.  Installation of the restroom facility at Sertoma-Astro Park is being completed. 

Last week, a crane was used to lower in place the prefabricated restroom and connecting the building to water and sewer was being supervised by the city’s public properties department.

The restroom project was done at the request of the public because of the popularity of the new splash pad.   The park was briefly closed last Thursday, but reopened once the building was in place.

It’s been a popular hangout for parents and their children, ever since the splash pad opened last summer.
