KIMBALL, NE - Kimball will be opening the weight room at its school when new guidelines take effect.

According to the school district, the school will open its weight room on Monday Wednesday and Friday, starting Monday, June 1st. 

School are allowed to open weight rooms under the new directed health measure that takes effect on June 1st. Parents of students wishing to use the weight room must sign a waiver acknowledging the risks associated with using the weight room. 

Students can get waivers from either a head coach or by calling 308-235-2188. Students also must follow all social distancing and safety requirements.

"While Kimball Public Schools will keep the district property safe and clean, there is no guarantee that any surface, equipment or atmosphere will be free from any germs, virus or other condition, and any person who voluntarily chooses to use the weight room does so at his or her own risk," Kimball Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Elizabeth Owen said in a letter to parents.
