BEATRICE – A Beatrice man had his post-release supervision revoked and has been ordered to serve a jail term.

44-year-old Isaac Anderson will serve 251 days in Gage County jail, on a conviction of possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person.  He was sentenced Thursday by Judge Rick Schreiner, in Gage County District Court.

Anderson originally was given a three-year state prison term and one year of post-release supervision.  The 251 days in jail represented the time left on Anderson’s supervision order.

A Gage County Sheriff’s Deputy arrested Anderson in March of 2017, after he was found in a residence along East Hoyt Road, without permission.  At the time, Anderson fled on foot through a wooded area, but was found hiding on a creek bank, by the deputy.

Anderson was found to be in possession of three knives and records showed there were four pending warrants from the State of Missouri.

A plea agreement resulted in Anderson’s conviction on a weapons count, with another weapons charge and two drug counts dismissed.

In a separate action in Gage County District Court.....A third-offense drunk driving conviction has landed a 42-year-old Beatrice man in county jail.

Kerrick Wilhelm was sentenced Thursday to serve a one-year jail term, with credit for 175 days already spent in custody.

District Judge Schreiner ordered a consecutive 90-day jail term for having no operator’s license, and Wilhelm’s driver’s license has been revoked for a 15-year period.   Wilhelm also was fined $1,000.

Last November, Wilhelm was arrested following a Beatrice Police traffic stop for a white-colored taillight.  He showed signs of impairment and was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Authorities said records indicated Wilhelm had three prior DUI convictions in Kansas and one in Nebraska.  Wilhelm initially faced a fifth-offense DUI charge but it was reduced to a third offense, in a plea agreement.
