A testing site for Test Nebraska, a website started by the state to determine what people need to be tested for COVID-19, is coming to the Panhandle.

Panhandle Public Health officials announced Monday afternoon that there will be a drive-thru testing site in Scottsbluff on Thursday and Friday (May 21-22).

The hours both days will be 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. both days.

Health officials say panhandle residents should go to testnebraska.com and fill out the short assessment. The assessment will help determine who is part of the priority population and needs to be tested.

Those without internet access or needing assistance taking the assessment can call 308-262-5764 to get help.

People will be offered a time slot if part of the priority population. Even if you are not offered one, you may be invited upon availability.

Health officials said once completing the assessment and receiving a time slot, residents will be given a QR code that they will need at the testing site, so it is important to have that on your phone or printed out.
