Northeast Community College holds virtual graduation

NORFOLK - Normally the campus of Northeast Community College is packed on graduation weekend.

But this past weekend, Northeast like other educational institutions in the state held a virtual ceremony for the Class of 2020 on Saturday.

It was the 47th annual commencement held in a virtual format so anyone from around the world could watch as hundreds of grads were recognized.

Instead of the traditional walk across a stage to accept their diplomas each graduate was featured during a slide show following the commencement speeches.

891 students earned degrees at Northeast on Saturday.
