Free Drive-up COVID-19 Testing Held In Fairbury
FAIRBURY - Residents of Jefferson County and the surrounding area could get tested for COVID-19 during a drive-up testing event Friday in Fairbury. The event which was put on free of charge by Public Health Solutions and Jefferson Community Health and Life required no per-registration or a doctors note.
Kim Showalter of Public Health Solutions said residents should get the results of the tests within three to four days. However, she did say that since testing in the state has ramped up, sometimes it take a bit longer.
Public Health Solutions is hopeful most results will be back early next week.
Showalter also said that there are plans to have more testing events in the Public Health Solutions district although no dates and locations have been confirmed as of today.
Public Health Solutions did say that if individuals are symptomatic and want information on getting tested, they should call their primary care provider to discuss testing options.
