LINCOLN - Gov. Pete Ricketts is recognizing local law enforcement's efforts during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Ricketts signed a proclamation at his press briefing on Tuesday declaring this week "National Police Week" in Nebraska.

"The men and women who put on the blue really sacrifice their time with their families, they put their lives at risk to keep us safe," Ricketts said.

Ricketts will hold his next press briefing at 2 PM central time on Wednesday.
