LINCOLN - Mayor Leirion Gaylor Baird and health officials updated the community on the City’s efforts to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

The mayor unveiled the COVID-19 Risk Dial at the press conference. The dial will provide the public with a data driven approach for the future. It will provide a visual, color-coded description of what phase we're experiencing in Lancaster County.

The dial will update weekly on Fridays, and will show the overall change from the previous week. It will use four colors; red for most severe, orange, yellow, and green. The COVID Risk dial has three recommendations for at the home, at home and those who are at risk. These recommendations will change depending on the dial's rating.

The Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department announced that 40 new lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Lincoln Monday, bringing the community total to 647.
