Man Arrested for Overnight Shooting in Grand Island

GRAND ISLAND - A man is facing attempted murder charges following an argument with his roommate.

According to Grand Island Police Captain James Duering, Alexander Babella has been arrested for shooting a man who was staying at the residence on the 300 block of Nebraska Ave. where the shooting occurred.

Police say the shooting happened sometime between late Thursday night and early Friday morning, and that the victim was shot in the hand and stomach.

Babella is facing a charge of 2nd degree attempted murder among others weapon and assault charges.
