WAYNE - Social distancing restrictions are being eased in many counties across the state, allowing various businesses to reopen under the new guidelines.

Among those businesses is the Hair Envy salon in Wayne, where owner and stylist Tanya Gamble says the biggest challenge of reopening is helping all of the customers who are in need of their services.

"There's lots of clients that need in, clients whose salons are not even open yet, so we're not taking any new guests, we're only rescheduling the ones that we had during the month that we were closed," Gamble said. "We're also allowing our regular guests to come into Hair Envy, but we're asking them to be cautious of where they've been and what they've done."

The reopening of Hair Envy has brought with it new health and sanitation standards, as all guests as well as stylists are required to wear masks in the salon. Customers are also asked to not bring guests to their appointments, and the salon's waiting area remains closed, as stylists will be texting clients when they're ready.

Despite the new challenges that reopening poses, the Wayne community has been very appreciative that Hair Envy is once again open for business.

"I feel like they're really thankful, we've had a lot of people reach out to us and support us, even when we were closed," said Payton Stolze, Booth Renter at Hair Envy. "When they heard we were reopening, of course they were excited, but cautious about it still."
